Reflection week 1 Internet learning Resources

By the looks of things, most or what will be covered in this class will be directly applicable to what I do every day. I have put together an assignment that leads the students to evaluate the usefulness and validity of a website. I hope to be able improve upon the to one I am currently using.

It will also be interesting to explore how to use Web 2.0 technologies in my classes next year. I have explored some of the links provided in Internet learning resources and several look promising.

  1. Being able to correctly judge websites is very important. I hear from my students numerous times that there is no major difference between websites. With this evaluation template created, I'll be excited to see them understand what I have been preaching.

  2. There is a constant stream of new tools and resources that continue to appear and some are absolutely amazing.

  3. I wonder when students will be authorized to use Web 2.0 tools. We have quite a bit of blocking going on in our district; for good reason, I suppose, but I wonder if there are other options. How did you go about getting student clearance on the social networking tools? Anything that was convincing that I might use?
